Hold onto your umbrellas, heroes—Overwatch 2 is about to make a splash! Blizzard’s latest survey has given us our very first deep dive into Wuyang, the upcoming Support hero (nicknamed Aqua by fans). With his water-bending style, elegant design, and a moveset that feels like it was pulled straight from a high-fantasy martial arts drama, Wuyang is set to turn the tide of battle when his Hero Trial begins on August 14.

💧 Weapon: Xuanwu Staff
- Water Orb – Fire a damaging water orb. Hold to control its trajectory and empower its explosion.
- Restorative Stream – Place a passive healing stream on an ally. Hold on the target to manually heal at an improved rate (consumes resource).
Think of it as a mix between Zenyatta’s precision and Moira’s resource management—except it’s way more splashy.
🌊 Abilities
- Guardian Wave – Send a wave forward that boosts healing received by allies and knocks back enemies. (Goodbye, pesky flankers!)
- Rushing Torrent – Surf’s up! Ride water to move faster and jump higher, giving you some stylish escape options.
🔥 Ultimate: TIDAL BLAST
Protect an ally (or yourself) inside a swirling shield of water. After a short duration, it detonates, knocking down enemies and massively healing the protected target.
It’s like Baptiste’s Immortality Field met Lucio’s Beat Drop… but with more drip.
Passive
- Role: Support – Begin regenerating health more quickly.
Minor & Major Perks
- Overflow – Extra ammo and resource when rushing torrent is activated.
- Balance – Dealing orb damage buffs your passive heals temporarily.
- Ebb & Flow – Guardian Wave rewinds to you (with reduced damage).
- Falling Rain – Control three water orbs at once for pure chaos.

Thanks to the Blizzard survey image, we know Wuyang’s got major anime protagonist vibes: flowing blue-white robes, a graceful staff, and a calm-but-confident expression that says, “I’m about to out-heal your entire ult phase.”
