LE SSERAFIM’s Influence on the New Skins
The Overwatch team worked closely with LE SSERAFIM for this collaboration, allowing the group to help select which heroes would receive skins.
🎶 “They play Overwatch and choose characters they love or relate to,” says art director Dion Rogers.
Knowing that LE SSERAFIM are Overwatch players themselves makes this collaboration feel even more special. It’s not just another collab—it’s a project shaped by gamers who genuinely love the game! 💞
How the Heroes Were Chosen
🌟 Juno – A natural pick, as the group instantly loved her character upon her release.
🌟 Ashe – Selected after her omnic companion, B.O.B., appeared as a security guard in the Perfect Night cinematic, making her a perfect fit for this event.
Breaking Down the New Skins✨
The Overwatch team has stepped up their style game with this collab, ensuring each hero’s look fits both their character and the K-pop aesthetic. Here’s what to expect:

🌟 Juno – Embracing her martian charm, Juno’s new skin features a pink top and stylish hair buns, blending her cute and galactic aesthetic together with k-pop style.
🌟 Mercy – Rocking a mini skirt and a yellow top, Mercy’s braided half-updo is a standout, complete with pink streaks in her blonde hair for that extra pop.
🌟 Ashe – The snazzy hood and crop top combo gives Ashe a bold, edgy look, perfectly suited for her rebellious personality.
🌟 Illari – Bringing the hip-hop influence, Illari stuns in baggy hip-hop pants paired with a green long-sleeved top, perfectly blending comfort and street style.
🌟 D.Va – Featured front and center in the promotional material, D.Va is getting a stunning new skin!
Designed by Blizzard Korea—With Hidden Easter Eggs!
Blizzard Korea led the design process, drawing inspiration from hip-hop and streetwear trends. The new skins also feature hidden Easter eggs.
Hidden Easter eggs to look out for ✨:
🌟A plush keychain on Mercy’s outfit, designed by LE SSERAFIM´s Sakura.
🌟 A neon weapon glow, inspired by the group’s Crazy music video aesthetic.
Why Some Heroes Didn’t Make the Cut
Despite fan hopes, some heroes, like Roadhog, were left out. According to art director Dion Rogers, designing casual outfits for certain characters while maintaining their recognizable silhouettes is a challenge. “Some heroes are easier to dress down than others,” he explains.

Overwatch 2’s Skins Keep Getting Better
Overwatch 2 has been pushing boundaries in skin design, incorporating more visual effects and bold fashion choices. From mythic skins like Anubis Reaper and Spellbinder Widowmaker to this new K-pop drop, it’s clear the team is leaning into more transformative, high-fashion designs.
