What’s definitely coming in the mid-season update 📦

Here are the confirmed things dropping with the patch on possibly July 22 — mark your calendars! 🖊️

Maxillion’s vault is coming back 💰

Time to see what Max has stashed away. Maxillion’s Vault returns with five heavily discounted cosmetic items 💸. They’re usually tied to your top-played heroes, but don’t be shocked if you end up with a voice line for a tank you never touch 😅.

Still, there’s always a chance for that one dream skin to show up 💫.

Map reworks for Suravasa and New Junk City 🗺️

Both Suravasa and New Junk City, the Flashpoint maps that have received mixed feedback, are getting some big updates ✨. These reworks are based on two years of feedback and could help make them more fun (and less confusing) to play.

We love a glow-up. 🙌

Hero balancing and system updates ⚖️

Blizzard is cooking up balance changes for the core game. After a few updates that focused more on Stadium mode, it sounds like traditional quick play and ranked are finally getting a little attention again 🎯. Expect changes to hero kits and perks.

Pink skins incoming? Very likely! 💖

While not officially confirmed, a set of pink-themed recolor skins is widely expected to launch soon. These aren’t the charity skins, but more cute, bubblegum-styled looks 💅. They’ll probably arrive in the shop during the back half of the season.

Collab speculation: Nerf is probably joining the fight 🧡🔫

Okay, let’s talk rumors — but very solid ones. All signs point to a Nerf x Overwatch 2 collab coming soon. Yes, the foam dart brand Nerf 😲.

Blizzard has been teasing this hard, and we already got Nerf-style Reaper weapons at the start of the season. This second collab might include:

Nerf weapon skins for multiple heroes 🎯
A limited-time game mode inspired by Nerf play 🤖

And here’s the twist: this could be the summer games event. 🌴 The devs have been weirdly quiet about summer games this year, which usually launch earlier in the season. So it’s very possible they’ve rolled the summer content into the Nerf event to shake things up.

Think lifeguard skins, poolside battles, and foam darts flying everywhere 🏖️.

Wuyang is almost here! 🐉💦

Let’s take a moment to appreciate the most exciting part of this update: the arrival of Wuyang, the newest support hero in Overwatch 2. 🎉

Here’s what we know so far:

🌊 He’s water-themed
💉 His kit seems focused on healing and maybe crowd control
🧪 We’ll get a hero test weekend sometime in late July or early August
🕹️ He’ll be available in unranked modes for a few days
🎬 His origin story cinematic might drop when the mid-season patch goes live

His code name was “Aqua” (cute, right?), and from what little has leaked, he’s looking like a splashy mix of utility and healing 💧.

If you love unique supports like Kiriko, Lifeweaver or Zenyatta, you’re going to want to test him out. Just expect long queues during that hero weekend 👀.
