If you’ve been absolutely living in the Stadium like I have lately (seriously, my cat thinks I’ve moved in), then you already know how wild, weird, and wonderful it’s been. But guess what? Things are about to get even better. The Overwatch devs just dropped a treasure chest of updates in the latest Weekly Recall.

🎯 Matchmaking Magic Incoming!
Okay, real talk: some of these matches lately have felt like being tossed into a blender with five Grandmasters while I’m just trying to figure out if I want to build healing Moira or spicy flank queen Moira. Turns out the MMR system was using a newbie calibration modifier on everyone, not just actual newbies 😅
But fear not! That little mix-up is getting patched out on June 3, and we should start seeing much fairer matches. Get ready for your ranked grind to feel a lot smoother!
Oh, and speaking of ranked — hello, 50-point bonus! If you’re aiming for that sleek All-Star Legendary Juno skin (and let’s be real, who isn’t??), now’s the time. Bonus points + extended timeline = my hyperfixation has been validated. 🙌
🛠️ Stadium Forge
Starting in Season 17, we’ll be able to create and save Builds for our favorite heroes right in the Practice Range. You can access them mid-match in the Armory, and you can import Builds from your friends, content creators, or that unhinged Sigma main who figured out a damage build that makes the enemy team cry. 😭❤️
And YES: the devs confirmed we’re getting suggested Builds too! Great for baby heroes learning the ropes, and honestly? Even sweaty players might discover a new combo that slaps.
💖 Unranked Vibes, Assemble!
The devs heard us shouting from the rooftops: “Let me play Stadium with my bronze bestie!!” Unranked Stadium is coming soon, and it’s the casual experience of my dreams. It’s a best-of-5 instead of 7, shorter games, faster powers, and a little more cash to throw around on spicy Item combos. 🛍️
PLUS—Backfill is coming too! So if someone rage-quits mid-round (rude), a new player can join in, shopping spree included. 🎁
👀 Freja Watch: Nerfs & Counters
Our sparkly new hero Freja might’ve flown a little too close to the sun. She’s been hard to pin down (literally), but the devs are:
- Giving her some balance tweaks ✂️
- Adding a new anti-air Item in Season 17
Love her or fear her, she’s about to feel way more fair. (And don’t worry, she’s still fabulous.)
