Overwatch update bringing balance changes and much more!
The latest Overwatch 2 update brings some big balance changes, changing perks introduced last month to improve hero usability. Several heroes, including Junker Queen, Genji, and Cassidy, receive buffs, while Bastion and Torbjörn (thankfully) are nerfed.
Additionally, a new SSERAFIM skin Bundle, a Widowmaker Mythic Weapon, and the return of 6v6 mode are also included in this patch. Players can also try out the new hero, Freja, from March 21 to 24, and claim up to five free loot boxes by watching Overwatch 2 streams on Twitch between March 17 and March 31.

Tank Hero Changes!
Junker Queen (Buff)
– Deep Wounds: Wound duration increased from 0.25 to 0.5 seconds.
Ramattra (Buff)
– Prolonged Barrier: Void Barrier size increased by 25%.
Reinhardt (Buff)
– Shield Slam: Cooldown reduced from 8 to 6 seconds.
– Crusader’s Resolve: Passive regeneration trigger rate increased from 50% to 75%.
Roadhog (Buff)
– Hog Toss: Now also increases Pigpen damage by 25%.
Winston (Buff)
– Short Circuit: Damage vs. deployable objects increased from 30% to 50%.
Wrecking Ball (Buff)
– Transfer Efficiency: Ally shield transfer cost reduction increased from 33% to 50%.
Damage Hero Changes!
Bastion (Nerf)
– Self-Repair: Now requires a resource to heal.
Cassidy (Buff)
– Past Noon: Ultimate charge refund increased from 30% to 40%.
Genji (Buff)
– Acrobatics: Now resets double jump after a wall climb.
– Meditation: Healing increased from 25 to 35 HP per second.
– Blade Twisting: Bonus damage duration increased from 6 to 10 seconds, now deals damage over 1 second instead of 2.
Mei (Buff)
– Permafrost: No longer increases Ice Wall cooldown.
Pharah (Buff)
– Helix Shield: Shield conversion increased from 75 to 125.
Reaper (Buff)
– Dire Triggers: Recovery time reduced from 0.9 to 0.7 seconds.
Soldier: 76 (Buff)
– Stim Pack: Cast time reduced from 0.4 to 0.15 seconds.
– Stim Pack anti-heal: Now cleansable.
Sombra (Buff)
– Stack Overflow: Range penalty reduced from 30% to 15%.
– White Hat: Hack is now uninterruptible from damage when healing allies.
Torbjörn (Nerf)
– Craftsman Perk: Now increases turret health by 25 HP.
Tracer (Buff)
– Quantum Entanglement: Overhealth duration increased from 3.5 to 6 seconds.
Support Hero Changes!
Baptiste (Buff)
– Assault Burst: Attack speed increased from 20% to 30%.
– Automated Healing: Healing per shot increased from 25 to 30.
Brigitte (Buff)
– Barrier Restoration: Now grants 30% movement speed for 1.5 seconds after Shield Bash.
Illari (Buff)
– Summer Solstice: Now provides 30% increased attack speed while Captive Sun is active.
– Weapon recharge: No longer paused when using quick melee.
Juno (Buff)
– Reboot: Glide boost duration increased by 25%.
Lifeweaver (Buff)
Super Bloom:
– Damage increased from 30 to 40.
– Window to land hits increased from 1.5 to 2.5 seconds.
– Hits required to trigger effect increased from 16 to 20.
– Life Weaving: Healing bonus increased from 20 to 30.
Mercy (Buff)
– Flash Heal: Cast time reduced from 0.875 to 0.4 seconds.
